Ear to the ground

Between the virtual and physical, Ear to the ground explores the range of how we are in relation to all objects.

The sculpture sets up a duality that alternately suggests the dynamic of immersion in an acoustic environment and the sensory surroundings of objects with vitality and agency. Ear to the ground expresses a connection between extremes, and simultaneously suggests the notion of deconstructing dualities. Engaging phenomenologically with biological and social communities is challenging at a time when intimacy is crucial to the planet.
