Free the Fossil AR (augmented reality)

VRTO Exposition Space, 2021

Found on a Georgian Bay beach, a fossil containing the bones of a winged fauna lived millenia ago. Intrigued by the image, I created an augmented reality (AR) image and superimposed it in many settings. Texture mapping and building a 3D model, my practice led to the possibility of entering within the fossil. Access a 3D interactive image:  https://bit.ly/3CXcEI4

AR (augmented reality) presents a layer on an existing environment. In another project, "Animating the Inanimate",  a doll, is superimposed on an outlook point at the Brickworks in Toronto.
